Colombian flavors in Pembroke Pines: a guide

Colombian flavors in Pembroke Pines: a guide

Bandeja paisa, ajiaco or sancocho: discover their differences when exploring Colombian food in Pembroke Pines and receive updates from Casa Caleñitas.

Exploring Colombian food in Pembroke Pines can begin with a familiar craving or curiosity about something new. A dish guide is more useful than a string of adjectives: distinguish a full plate, a soup and a sharing option.

The bandeja paisa on our current Doral menu combines rice, beans, beef, chicharrón, sausage, egg, sweet plantain, avocado and arepa. Check its components and communicate dietary restrictions before ordering.

Our Doral ajiaco is a chicken soup with potatoes and corn, served with rice or salad and avocado. Short rib sancocho is another traditional soup with its own main ingredient. They are not two names for the same dish.

Before choosing a picada to share, check its ingredients. Composition and size matter, especially when people have different preferences. Ask about allergies and possible changes rather than assuming any preparation can be adapted.

These examples belong to Las Caleñitas in Doral. Casa Caleñitas is our upcoming Pembroke Pines location; its menu and opening remain to be announced. The Founders Club lets you follow preparations without mistaking a flavor guide for current availability.
